Detailed Description of Goods and/or Services
Balans Health Store is an online store in the organic and natural product industry.
Agreement of Sale
An agreement of sale between Balans Health Store and a customer is only valid once payment has been made and the company receives proof of payment. Up until this point, all goods remain the property of Balans Health Store.
Subject to availability and receipt of payment, orders will be processed and delivered within 2-5 working days.
All orders are dispatched via the Post Office, courier service or international air mail.
You accept that in order for us to prove delivery of an order, we do not have to prove that you personally received the goods, but rather that any person at the delivery address signed for the delivery.
Return and Refunds Policy
The provision of goods and services by Balans Health Store is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Balans Health Store will contact you with options
An order can be cancelled if payment has not been made yet for the order by the customer. Once payment has been made by the customer for an order, the order can also be cancelled, but a cancellation fee will be payable by the customer in an amount equal to 20% of the total Tax Invoice amount. The customer will also be responsible for any return/shipping cost with regards to returning the products to Balans Health Store. Products must be returned in its original sealed packaging and without any damages or breakage.
If a product is damaged or broken when you receive it, you must inform Balans Health Store within one working day of receiving it. We will then make arrangements for a replacement product to be sent to you on our account or to refund you in full for the damaged or broken product. Upon receipt, we will inspect the items and if it is in its original sealed state, we will refund you the value of the products within 30 days thereof. If the products are opened or used by the customer, Balans Health Store will not be held responsible for issuing a refund.
If you receive the wrong product you must contact Balans Health Store within ten working days. We will check our system to see whether a miss pick has occurred. If there was a miss pick we will arrange to swap the ‘wrong’ product for the one actually ordered on our account.
We respect your privacy and your personal information, thus, we take all reasonable measures to protect your personal information and to keep it confidential.
Balans Health Store shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of Clients and for the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act, Act 2 of 2000 (“PAIA”) and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (”POPI”).
The manner in which we collect your personal information will be by way of you contacting us telephonically, personally or electronically.
The personal information hereby provided by the customer will be collected, disclosed, used, processed and stored as is necessary to carry out lawful actions and functions for the conclusion or performance of the agreement entered into between us, and will only be done with your written consent where required, unless we are legally required to do divulge same or are obligated to do so for performance of a public law
By agreeing to these terms and conditions you hereby provide us with your express written consent to use your personal information, share certain of your personal information, to analyse your personal information in order to compile a profile of you, and to send promotional material to you in the ordinary course of our business.
We will not sell, rent or provide your personal information to any unauthorised third parties without your consent. If at any stage, after you have given us consent, you no longer wish us to use or share your personal information with an affiliate party, you may at any stage withdraw your consent in writing.
Payment Options Accepted
Payment may be made via Visa and MasterCard debit and credit cards or by bank transfer or cash deposit into the Balans Health Store bank account, the details of which will be provided during the checkout process.
You can pay your purchases by PayFast with credit/debit card, as well as EFT. Select the appropriate payment method when placing your order. If any of these payment methods are unsuitable, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss other payment options.
We accept payment by Visa and Mastercard cards. Please ensure that the details you enter are correct. Please note that all credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the issuer of the card. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to pay or does not for any reason authorise payment to Online Health Shop, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of merchandise. We retain the legal ownership of all merchandise until full payment has been made by you and received by us and legal ownership of the merchandise will immediately transfer back to us if we refund any payment for the merchandise to you. Risk in the merchandise transfers to you upon delivery.
Credit Card Acquiring and Security
Credit card transactions will be acquired for Balans Health Store via Virtual Card Services who use the strictest forms of encryption.
Customer Details Separate from Card Details
Customer details will be stored by Balans Health Store separately from card details which are entered by the customer on the Virtual Card Services secure payment terminal. For more detail on Virtual Card Services visit the Virtual Card Services website.
Merchant outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. The transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
Balans Health Store takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sales of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
It is our mission that all information on this website is as accurate and up to date as possible, and that all products promoted cause no harm to our customers or the environment. However, due to the possibility of human and technical error, Balans Health Store accepts no responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of information provided on the website. Neither do we accept responsibility for any adverse reactions that any of our products may cause. While we have taken every reasonable measure to ensure that the products promoted on this website are of the highest quality and safety, the recommendations on this site are not the advice of a medical practitioner. This site may be used by customers to browse the content and products and to make legitimate purchases. Persons may not use this site for any purposes such as fraudulent or speculative transactions or to copy, reproduce, republish or redistribute any of the images or content available on the site.

Balans Health Store may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
The trade marks, logos and service marks (‘intellectual property’) displayed on our website are the registered and unregistered marks of Balans Health Store, our affiliates, our suppliers, our licensors and/or our and are protected by South African and international trade mark laws. Except in connection with placing an order for merchandise or as required by applicable law, you may not use, reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, access, modify or otherwise exploit our intellectual property or that of our suppliers without our or their prior written consent.
We operate a complaints handling procedure which we will use to try to resolve disputes when they first arise. Please inform us of any complaint in writing.
Balans Health Store shall not be held liable for any damages, injury or illness caused by the misuse of any product. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to read all product instructions carefully, to use the product strictly for the purpose it was designed for, and to ensure that the product is used in a safe and reasonable manner. Balans Health Store shall not be held responsible for any damages, injury or illness that occur due to an allergic reaction, or as the result of any other unforeseen occurrence.
Nothing contained in these Terms and Conditions of Sale affects or will affect the statutory rights of the Customer or the Recipient in relation to the quality, fitness or description of the goods supplied.
