Zinplex Junior - Xylitol (200ml)

Pharmacological action and indications: Zinplex® junior syrup contains two essential minerals of nutrition, namely zinc and selenium plus vitamin C in a pleasant American cream soda flavoured syrup. Zinc is a constituent of many enzymatic systems and is present in all tissues of the body. Selenium is an integral part of the enzyme system glutathione peroxidase, this enzyme protects intracellular structures against oxidative damage. Zinplex® junior syrup therefore assists with activating and developing the immune system, assists with the maintenance of the nervous system, helps to reduce hyperactivity - resulting in a calmer child. It also assists in weight gain for children and helps with metabolic functions in the body. Zinplex® junior syrup may help reduce childhood eczema, dermatitis and skin rashes and may help in reducing the incidence of diarrhoea. Zinplex® junior syrup also assists in the combating of colds, fever blisters and oral thrush and helps with normal growth and mental development.

Contra-indications: Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

Interactions: Zinc absorption may be reduced by iron supplements, penicillamine, phosphorus-containing preparations and tetracyclines. Zinc supplements reduce the absorption of copper, fluoroquinolones, iron, penicillamine and tetracyclines.
